Hip Hop diva Lil’ Kim has had her luxury Bentley sports car repossessed after she allegedly failed to keep up the repayments.

The hip hop star whose legal name is Kimberly Denise Jones, recently received a visit from a repossession company who towed away her silver Bentley, valued at around $250-300,000 and the incident was captured on film by a New York TV crew.

The hip hop diva spent much of 2005 and 2006 in jail for a perjury conviction. She was reportedly four to five months behind with the car payments.

Representative for Commercial Service Corps, Cyro Mirando, confirmed the company had repossessed the hip hop rappers vehicle but admitted the hip hop diva was unhappy to see the team arrive at her home.

He tells celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, "She didn''t wanna cooperate. Basically, she told us to get off the property. We were hoping that she''d give us the keys, being that it''d be the right thing to do. It's not her vehicle."

Lil'' Kim's publicist Tracy Nguyen insists the repossession is the result of a misunderstanding.

She says, "The car was a gift, given four years ago. This matter is currently being resolved and is completely out of Kim's hands."

The hip hop diva was part of Junior M.A.F.I.A., Bad Boy Records and Notorious B.I.G. - Christopher "B.I.G." Wallace was a key figure in both her personal and artistic life before his death.

On March 17, 2005, Kim was found guilty of conspiracy and perjury for lying to a grand jury about her friends'' involvement in a 2001 shooting outside the Hot 97 studios in Manhattan. She claimed not to have known that her manager (Damion "D-Roc" Butler), and another friend (Suif Jackson) were at the scene, despite video footage showing all three exiting the building. Both men have pleaded guilty to gun charges since. In July 2005, she was sentenced to a one-year-and-a-day in the Philadelphia Detention Center. On July 3, 2006, Kim was released from the Philadelphia Federal Detention Center.
