On the 7th of February 2006, west coast rap icon Ice Cube officially announced that on June 6th. 2006 he would be releasing his long awaited and anticipated comeback hip-hop album entitled ‘Laugh Now, Cry Later’ from his own record company Da Lench Mob Records.

Being prominent in the hip-hop music industry, and being an accomplished actor, the legendary hip-hop culture icon Ice Cube is set to fulfill that promise.

Being credited in hip-hop culture as one of the originators of west coast gangsta rap, along with Eazy-E and the gangsta rap group NWA; Cube seems to be keeping guest appearances to a minimum with Snoop Dogg and his Westside Connection comrade WC.

The album will contain 18 tracks, with the street single and accompanying video, "Chrome & Paint," already creating a buzz. The album's first official single is the Scott Storch produced "Why We Thugs" whose accompanying video features an appearance by Mike Epps.
