Harlem Rap Artist Cam'ron Shot in DC Print

The CEO of Diplomat Records and Harlem native, hip-hop rapper Cam''ron is recovering after being shot early Sunday morning in what appears to be a failed carjacking attempt, According to the rap artists representatives; one bullet hit the hip-hop rap artist in the arm.

A spokesperson for the rap artists Diplomats camp has confirmed Cam''ron was shot around 2:10 a.m. Sunday morning in Washington, D.C.. Police have refused to release any details or confirm the shooting of Cam’ron took place.

The Diplomats spokesperson said Cam''ron was driving his blue Lamborghini away from a Washington D.C. nightclub (H2O) when some men tried to carjack him. They pulled up in their own vehicle and demanded Cam''ron turn over his car. When the rapper did not comply, the men fired multiple shots inside the car hitting Cam''ron once in the arm, according to the spokesperson. The leader of the Diplomats was taken to a nearby hospital and is said to be resting and doing fine.

The hip-hop rap artist was in Washington D.C. to participate in the activities surrounding Howard University's homecoming this weekend. The rap artist has been promoting his upcoming album and called "Killa Season". Both are due to drop first quarter of 2006.
