Multiplatinum hip-hop rap artist, Trick Daddy and his children’s foundation have developed a partnership with the Single Parent Initiative and the National Boys & Girls Club of America, establishing long term support for families that have been misplaced. The mission of the rap artists Trick Luvs Da Kids Foundation, Inc. is to inspire youths and their families to achieve a better way of life through music, educational, social and economic empowerment.

“We at the Boys & Girls Club of America truly feel Trick Daddy cares about the kids in his community and have officially made him an honorary board member, says Curtis B., Executive Director for the Single Parent Initiative.   “Trick Daddy is going to help our efforts as we continue rebuilding the centers and stability for these families affected by Hurricane Katrina in this critical time.  The victims of this national disaster are going to need help for the next 2-5 years.”

Trick Luvs Da Kids Foundation, Inc. will host this year’s Halloween Spooktacular Costume Party in Miami, Florida on October 29, 2005. Held at Solo at 10890 Collins Avenue Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, the adult fundraising event will provide giveaways including prizes for Best Dressed Female Costume, Best Dressed Male Costume and Best Dressed Couple Costume. A donation of $100 will include food and drinks all night with general admission slated at $25. The proceeds from this adult event will benefit the Single Parent Initiative and the Boys & Girls Clubs in both Mississippi and New Orleans.

Because of the effects of Hurricane Katrina, single parents are deeply affected by the devastation. “Florida was just hit by Katrina ourselves and we were just getting over it when I started hearing about what was going on in the coastal areas,” explains Trick Daddy. “What triggered me to help was the amount of people that are missing and the fact that no one was thinking about helping the kids—Trick really does Luv Da Kids!”
