At the first vigil marking the anniversary of the death of west coast rap artist Mac Dre, gunfire took center stage killing one man.

Police report that Michael Banks, 20 years old, was found lying on the ground, after 10 to 15 gunshots rang out a block away from North Vallejo Park; where the vigil was being held.

A Solano County coroner's deputy said Banks had fatal gunshots to his chest and neck. Police have no leads in the murder of Banks.

The hip-hop / rap artist Mac Dre, a Vallejo native, was murdered in Kansas City last year when the van he was riding in on the interstate was riddled with bullets.

The murder of Mac Dre, a well know Bay Area hip-hop / rap artist, is still unsolved and authorities have no current update information on his case.
