Hip hop artist DMX, aka Earl Simmons, has had his bail bond revoked following his latest arrest on Thursday August 14th.

The distressed hip hop rap artist was taken into custody by police in Miami, Florida after a warrant for his arrest was issued on Tuesday August 12th by Arizona officials. A judge issued the warrant after the hip hop artist missed a court date stemming from drug charges in Arizona.

DMX's bail was initially set at $25,000, but when his lawyer Brad Cohen attempted to free him from a Florida jail on Friday August 15th, he discovered it had been changed. The troubled hip hop artist is now listed as having no bail hold, according to website TMZ.com.

The arrest was the sixth in 2008 alone for the troubled hip hop artist. If his lawyer Brad Cohen fails to resolve the matter, DMX will have to remain behind bars until his court hearing on 2 October (08) in relation to a drug possession charge.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland DMX relocated early in his childhood with some family members to Yonkers. He spent much time either on the streets committing crime selling drugs or living in group homes. Hip Hop, however, was an escape from his hard times, as he enjoyed beatboxing, turntablism, and eventually rapping with famed rapper Just Ice. The initials DMX originate from an earlier stage name of Dark Man X.

In 1991, The Source magazine praised the rising hip hop artist DMX in its "Unsigned Hype” column. With a hip hop career and an acting career, seems in the recent years DMX is constantly finding himself on the other side of the law.
