216 is the latest and biggest hip-hop / rap duo coming from the streets of Cleveland. Rekindling the crowd-pumping, lyrically inspiring vibe of hip-hop’s golden age, 216’s rap and sound is full of edgy, envelop-pushing lyrics, packing heavy baselines and aggressive instrumentals.

216’s upcoming album, ‘The Game Is Life’, is a funky, soulful, substance-laden, vex of instrumentals, layered with weighty vocals and hi-intensity wordplay.

Comprised of 18-tracks ‘The Game Is Life’ plays out like theater, part humor and part protest and struggle. A large portion of the musical orchestration was provided by hip-hop hit maker Scott Storch, with on-point guest appearances by rap and hip-hop artists Fat Joe, Butch Cassidy, Hitman, Sleepy Brown, and NBA All-Star Jalen Rose, all helping 216 to illustrate the glory and God-awful truths of urban existence.

This album has come after years of hard work by 216, paying their dues pounding the pavement and even living and working a year with the legendary Parrish Smith of EPMD.

Setting the album off is the first single “Hey, Hey” produced by legendary hip-hop hit maker Storch. This mid-tempo groove, driven by the rhythmic synthesizers, is a bottle poppin’ fun-fest. Check it out below and see for yourself.
